Bernard Dauby, Chairman of the board.
With a bachelor's degree in medical biology and a master's in biomedical technology, Bernard Dauby has 25 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry with responsibility for several sales & marketing executive functions. Currently appointed as Business Development Manager in a multinational pharmaceutical company, Mr. Dauby is a co-founder of ProGenosis.
Patrice Filée, PhD Sc, Chief Scientific Officer.
Dr. Filée obtained his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Liège, Center for Protein Engineering, in 2001. He has been working for many years on the validation of the ProGenosis technology platform and he participates actively in widening the areas of application for BHP. He is in charge of the R&D sector of ProGenosis and is responsible for implementing internal procedures. He is a co-founder of ProGenosis.
Jean-Luc Herbos, Marketing & Communication Manager.
Jean-Luc Herbos has 15 years' experience and a proven track record in marketing/communications within a pharmaceutical and business-to-business environment. He has been project leader of different e-business approaches. Today, he is the director of e-mpathy, a company specialized in the efficient use of new information technologies as applied to the Life Sciences sector. M. Herbos is a co-founder of the company.
Fabrizio Giannotta, PhD Sc, Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Giannotta received his PhD in sciences from the University of Liège, Center for Protein Engineering, in 1998. Fabrizio Giannotta has been involved for 7 years in applied research projects dedicated to the transfer of results from laboratories to commercial applications. Dr. Giannotta completed his university degree with additional modules in corporate management, financial analysis and industrial microbiology. He is a co-founder of ProGenosis.
Scientific Advisory Board
Prof. Jean-Marie Frère has a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Montréal and has been Professor of Enzymology at the University of Liège since 1979. In addition, he has been the director of the Center for Protein Engineering since 1998. His main research interests concern enzyme catalytic mechanisms and mechanisms of bacterial antibiotic resistance. Prof. Frère is a member of some well-known institutions (the Belgian Royal Society of Chemistry, Belgian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry Commission of the Flemish Scientific Research Foundation (FWOV), Biochemical Society, Protein Society, Belgian Academy of Sciences and the Biochemistry Commission of the FNRS).
Prof. Moreno Galleni has a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Liège and has been Professor of Biological Macromolecules since 2002. His main research interests concern the study of factors involved in bacterial resistance towards antibiotics from both the microbiology and biochemistry point of view. Prof. Galleni is a member of the Belgian Royal Society of Chemistry, Belgian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Belgian Society of Microbiology and the American Society of Microbiology.
